Job Description


Applications are invited for a research assistant to support the research programme of the Ramakrishnan laboratory ( ). The group is based in the Department of Medicine Molecular Immunity Unit located within the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology.

Duties will include performing lab processes and protocols necessary to assist in ongoing research efforts, including molecular cloning, genetic screening, flow cytometry, protein purification and Western blotting.

You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team. Research will involve work with zebrafish as a model organism for mycobacterial infection, therefore the successful candidate will be expected to undertake training to gain a Home Office Personal License.

Prior experience working with RNAi technology and high-content screening systems are highly desirable.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
