The Department of Psychiatry is based on the Warneford Hospital site in Oxford - a friendly, welcoming place of work with an international reputation for excellence. The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox.

We are looking for a research assistant who will work as a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of research support for Work Packages within the context of a Wellcome Early Career Grant held by Dr Luppi. The research will take place within the Centre for Eudaimonia and Human Flourishing, headed by Prof. Morten Kringelbach.

About the Role

The post is funded for 1 year and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.

You will be responsible for the day to day administration of research activities for the Work Packages within the Wellcome Early Career Grant. The project is already ongoing, and you will contribute to wider project planning and contribute to new research project ideas. You will analyse neuroimaging and behavioural data and develop statistical and computational models

About You

You will have first degree in neuroscience, data science, computer science, or engineering, along with sufficient knowledge of neuroscience and neuroimaging to understand the project questions and objectives, and with proficiency with programming in MATLAB (preferred) or Python. Post qualification research experience would be desirable.
