This post is for 1 year initially, with possibility of extension. Although the post is particularly well-suited to candidates who ultimately plan to pursue a PhD, we ask applicants to commit to at least 12 months in the role so that both you and the project can benefit from continuity.

About You



You will hold a BSc in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, with demonstrated proficiency in sterile laboratory techniques, precise pipetting and meticulous record-keeping. You will have hands-on experience with at least two key laboratory techniques, such as immunohistochemistry, qPCR, flow cytometry, histology, confocal microscopy or cell culture, and be confident in selecting and adapting protocols to suit experimental needs. You will be organised, capable of managing your own research and administrative duties, and experienced in working collaboratively within a research team. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to scientific problem-solving are essential. Additional research experience, an MSc degree, working with human tissue or complex culture systems or contributing to scientific publications, would be advantageous.
