We are seeking three researchers to join our team to work across a portfolio of EU-funded projects, led by Professor Evina Katsou. You will spend your time working on two projects simultaneously, with 50% of your time spent on each project.

The THESEUS project consists in Industrial-Urban symbiosis involving municipalities and regions cooperating with industries on the management of resources, waste, energy, water, infrastructures, services, transportation and networks. The NURISH project aims to enhance climate resilience and sustainable development in rural and small urban communities by implementing transformative nature-based, technological and circular economy solutions. The StreamSTEP project aims to trigger significant improvements of how heating energy is managed within industrial processes by addressing processes that generate waste heat across all temperature grades, while also recovering and treating condensate. The CRONUS project aims to accelerate on the path to sustainable bioenergy by incorporating in the biofuels value chain carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CUS) techniques promoting the decarbonisation of the EU economy. The SYMBIOREM project aims to improve the effectiveness, sustainability, circularity and cost-efficiency of bioremediation and revitalisation strategies for soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater.

What you would be doing

You will develop and refine methodologies for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data relevant to the projects' goals. You will also be expected to prepare and submit deliverables, submit publications to refereed journals, present at international conferences, and attract external research funding.
