About the role

We are looking for an experienced post-doctoral research analyst to deliver a new and exciting project. The post sits within a
Breakthrough T1D-funded research
programme led by the Misra Group at Imperial College London, which focuses on improving outcomes for people with type 1 diabetes through population-based research
What you would be doing
---------------------------
This programme will use multiple large, real-world datasets to investigate
metabolic dysfunction in type 1 diabetes and it's association with outcomes
. It will also deliver predictive models that support individualised care, focusing on near-term complications, metabolic dysfunction, impact of GLP-1 and other treatments and long-term cardiovascular risk. Comparative analyses will be combined with the development and validation of risk prediction tools that can be implemented in clinical and policy settings to guide precision approaches to diabetes management
What we are looking for
---------------------------
A degree in bioinformatics, biostatistics, epidemiology, computational sciences, or a related field (PhD preferred).
Practical experience in a broad range of techniques including Baysian statistics and statistical modelling
Proven experience in analysing population health datasets and identifying disease risk factors
Strong proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
Ability to manage, analyse, and interpret large-scale datasets with a focus on quality control and reproducibility
