About the role


------------------


This post is funded by the EPSRC to develop advanced ultrasound imaging techniques and investigate its clinical applications, based in the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. The project team is part of the EPSRC OASIS Hub with UCL and University of Cambridge.


What you would be doing


---------------------------


The researchers will mainly focus on the development and clinical evaluation of advanced ultrasound technologies for real-time 2D and 3D imaging. The researcher will be working with other engineers/physicists and clinical collaborators in a multi-disciplinary team. The researcher will also be undertaking project management and/or supervising students, and is expected to submit publications to refereed journals.


What we are looking for


---------------------------


The applicant should have a first degree in engineering, physics, or a related subject. They should also hold, or be about to receive a PhD, and have relevant skills and experience in ultrasound imaging technology development and applications. Any relevant experience in ultrasound data acquisition, image reconstruction / beamforming, post signal/image processing, and simulation would be desirable. The researcher will be expected to play an active role in the group, writing papers and giving presentations, helping to write grant proposals, mentoring students and setting an example for others.
