We're expanding our commitment to research and looking for a Research Clinical Fellow to join our dynamic team.
For two days a week, you'll work with internal and external collaborators to deliver innovative research projects.For the remaining three days, you'll gain hands-on experience in rehabilitation, neurology and neuro-disability, with opportunities to develop skills in disorders of consciousness, spasticity management and challenging behaviours.

We are committed to your professional development, offering coaching and supervision from a named Consultant.The post is full-time, initially for 12-24 months, with potential for extension.The role includes participation in a 1 in 7 on-call rota (from home)
Main duties of the job
Research (2 days per week)

  • Develop and deliver research projects aligned with the RHN research strategy.
  • Work with internal teams and external academic partners on multi-site or internal studies.
  • Gain experience in research methods, statistics, audit and quality improvement.
  • Produce high-quality outputs such as posters, abstracts and publications.
  • Support the translation of research findings into clinical practice.
Clinical (3 days per week)
  • Provide day-to-day medical care under Consultant supervision.
  • Work within the Brain Injury Service and Neuro-behavioural Service, with exposure to disorders of consciousness and spasticity management.
  • Participate in MDT work, case conferences, patient assessments and communication with families.
  • Contribute to admission and discharge processes.
  • Provide reports and participate in a 1 in 7 on-call rota (from home).

  • Experience presenting or publishing research.

  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Experience in neuro-rehabilitation or general medicine.
  • Conference presentation experience.
