The Opportunity:

The Business School\'s Research Support team are looking for a Research Data Coordinator.

The Research Data Coordinator proactively acts as a champion for good data management and data protection into the School\'s research community by promoting and supporting best practices in data management throughout the research process.

The role works collaboratively with a wide range of people over the School and University and a wide range of data types and formats, demonstrating creativity, curiosity and empathy through human-centredness, integrity, problem-solving and digital innovation.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

  • Able to work and communicate effectively with researchers, professional service colleagues and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Proficient in data collection, organization, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of data integrity, documentation, and version control.
  • Commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity, so that our data meets high standards of quality, relevant data governance and protection regulations and ethical considerations.
  • Adept at identifying and resolving data-related challenges, employing critical thinking to address complex issues.
  • Willingness to stay updated with data management practices and sector developments to bring fresh insights to the role.
