About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Research Department of Practice and Policy, conducting world leading research, specifically to conduct a big data study funded by the Royal Osteoporosis Society. The postholder will analyse data using the target trial emulation approach and contribute to proposals for pharmacoepidemiology analyses to new grant applications for external research funding.

The post is available from 1 March 2026 for until 28 February 2027 in the first instance with possibility of extension. Please note that salary will be 45,103 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance and appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.



We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible and this role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.

About you

The postholder will possess a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology and have skills in analysing longitudinal data including target trial emulation approach, proven proficiency using Statistical Software (e.g. SAS, R, Stata) and strong working understanding of pharmacoepidemiology concepts. The postholder will have the ability to lead a research project with considerable degree of independence and the ability to clearly communicate and report results to the Principal Investigator, at internal meetings, and at conferences.
