The Heart Rhythm Research Group is looking to recruit a talented research fellow to conduct translational, inter-disciplinary research into the mechanisms and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Specific areas of research focus include (1) improving the understanding and management of Ventricular Tachycardia, (2) mechanistic investigations into how common co-morbidities alter arrhythmia formation and dynamics and (3) development and application of novel, open-source, computational processes for analysis of both clinical and pre-clinical cardiac mapping data.


You will join as a Research Fellow in the Heart Rhythms research group with Professor Dhanjal in the Division of Biomedical Sciences of Warwick Medical School and at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.



About You
You are a highly motivated and skilled early-career researcher with a strong background in cardiovascular biology, molecular cardiology, or a related field.


You hold (or are close to obtaining) a PhD and have demonstrable experience in research involving electrophysiology and/or cardiac tissue experimentation.


You are confident working with a range of molecular and imaging techniques and are keen to deepen your skills in data analysis and computational modelling.


You are collaborative, curious and proactive researcher, comfortable with managing your own research activity, whilst engaging with the wider scientific and clinical networks, ensuring research objectives are achieved effectively.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure
