This role is funded by the Horizon Europe project PHASE IV AI (see here: https://phase4ai-project.eu/). You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of academics and industry experts to develop AI-powered tools that support next-generation healthcare service delivery, including AI Model as a service and Synthetic data as a service.
The core focus of the role is to develop explainable AI methods for identifying populations at higher risk of lung cancer, prostate cancer, and other non-communicable diseases within a Federated Learning framework. You will also contribute to building interpretable machine learning models that detect these diseases using multimodal data sources, primarily electronic health records (e.g., CPRD), supplemented by medical imaging (MRI, CT, PET) and genomics data.
