Job Description

Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr Louis Theran (in collaboration with Prof Anthony Nixon, Lancaster University) conducting research for a EPSRC funded project entitled Sample complexity for Gaussian graphical models and liftability of geometric structures.


The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or closely related fields and have a track record of successful research in at least one of discrete geometry, combinatorics, applied algebraic geometry, or statistical theory. Applicants with a research profile close to rigidity theory and its applications to data and learning are encouraged to apply.



The post is available for 6 months starting July 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
