About the role




Project based responsibilities



+ Attend client briefings, leading these on smaller projects, and maintain effective communication lines with clients both during and in between projects
+ Contribute to all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial set-up to the presentation and delivery of the final outputs to the client
+ Effectively manage project and proposal timelines, revenue phasing, suppliers, and resources
+ Proactively engage in practical client work on projects (i.e. production of research materials and outputs), collaborating with junior colleagues to use time and skills in a sensible manner
+ Generate research materials (mostly questionnaires and stimulus) and liaise with the team and third-party suppliers to ensure the needs of the client are met
+ Source and analyse the most effective research evidence to utilise on an individual client and project basis (likely to focus on quantitative data collected by surveys, although could include other forms of primary and secondary data)
+ Utilise LLMs and Undertake desk research on specific areas of interest when required
+ Analyse and present information and outputs to a consistently high level
+ Work with the team to select the appropriate statistical techniques in project work and explain techniques to clients
+ Ensure all research is conducted and processed in a way that complies with the data processing regulations outlined within current legislation
+ Comply with the Market Research Society (MRS) Code of Conduct



Line management and reports (as applicable)



+ Manage teams of Research Assistants, Research Executives or Senior Research Executives on live project and proposal work
+ Provide direction and support to junior team members, performing a mentoring and coaching role within the team
+ Set clear, motivational, and measurable development objectives for any direct reports assigned.



New Business responsibilities (based on experience and appetite)



+ Draft, develop and present quantitative research proposals to clients and key accounts, and support others in the creation of larger or hybrid proposals
+ Prepare appropriate quantitative project costs for a senior colleague to sign off
+ Generate new business through sales contact points with existing and new clients
+ Support on the preparation of sales and marketing materials and on campaign activity

Experience required:





+ Quantitative research experience from within a research agency
+ B2B experience preferred, but not essential; understanding and interest in B2B, especially in Web/App development, SaaS, Advertising required
+ Experience or interest in the tech or media sectors
+ Extensive experience in writing screeners and questionnaires
+ Practical experience or knowledge of a range of data analysis and statistical techniques
+ Experience with Q, or an openness to learn (training provided)
+ An impactful storyteller who excels at simplifying, educating and inspiring
+ Excellent written and visual skills with a flair for simplicity (plus flair for data visualisation)
+ Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; intellectually curious
+ A desire, and ability to cultivate client relationships - answering questions before they ask & able to pick out the nuances of clients' business challenges
+ Attention to detail with exceedingly high-quality standards
+ Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines

Skills and knowledge:





+ Demonstrable understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation
+ Strong technical skills, with proficiency in both Office and Google Suites - please note this role will require extensive use of Google sheets/slides - training provided as needed
+ Familiarity with data analysis software such as Q

+ Fuelling the brand equity and communications strategy for a leading design software company, understanding the needs of core and stretch audiences
+ Brand health trackers for a global tech company to help them improve their product marketing for a portfolio of developer products
+ Thought leadership studies with widely published white papers to explore CX trends, digital Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertising, and many more
