Job Purpose:
The post holder will be a full time, dedicated project officer for the EU Coastal Monitoring and Adaptation Planning (CMAP) project, responsible for supporting the Project Coordinator in the delivery of all contractual responsibilities to the funding body. CMAP is a EUR9.6M cross-border project, led by Ulster University, and supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project will help create sustainable adaptation to the threats posed by climate change and provide decision-makers and stakeholders at the coast with information on the nature of coastal change. CMAP will create an improved understanding of coastal change, awareness of adaptation options and explore sustainable options for habitat and species restoration under climate change.
The post will be of interest to individuals with excellent organisational and management skills. We are keen to hear from self-motivated people who have experience in project management who can produce clear, well-written reports and papers. The post will require working with a wide range of people and agencies. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are good communicators and able to work alongside different agencies and teams. The post requires individuals who have good people skills but an ability to be assertive when appropriate.
