Job Description

The University of Warwick is seeking to strengthen its support for scientific computing via the appointment of a research software specialist within the Scientific Computing Research Technology Platform (SCRTP).

As a member of the SCRTP technical team, you will play a vital role by ensuring that research software provisioned across our systems is optimised appropriately, maintained to a high standard and documented in an accessible manner. You will proactively seek to provide researchers with access to the latest research software and assist users in the efficient and reproducible execution of specialised packages and open-source codes.

You will work under the supervision of experienced research technology professionals to use, develop and maintain systems for automated software provision/management. You will also engage with the wider UK and international research computing community to participate in user groups and community initiatives on support of research software.
