About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Support Administrator to join the Faculty Office for the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordination of research-related events
  • Secretary to Faculty of HRI related Research Centre committee and meetings
  • General administration support, which may include post award management, ethics and PGR communications for Faculty, HRI and Research Centres
You will also provide comprehensive administrative support as part of the Research Office Administration Team, contributing to the coordination of administrative and financial monitoring processes related to the Faculty's research activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with research project applications, tracking and reporting, managing research ethics submissions, supporting postgraduate research students, and helping prepare for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Faculty Research Office Administration Team, the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, Faculty Professors and active researchers, as well as the University Research Office, the Graduate School, and other central services to ensure appropriate research support within the Faculty, which is aligned to both university and external agency requirements.

About You
As Research Support Administrator, you will:
  • Hold excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines to the required quality standards
  • Have experience of organising and promoting events and administering committee meetings
  • Be experienced in Microsoft Office including, Word and Excel and to a high level
  • Be able to work on your own initiative and use creativity to problem solve
  • Be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, with both internal and external contacts
