The job role will involve:
Handling hotel bookings and enquiries via phone, email, live chat, and social media
Liaising with hotel partners to confirm reservations and availability
Working with the team to respond to all enquiries quickly and professionally
Supporting other departments with occasional admin, product, or marketing tasks
Useful skills for this role include:
A confident and professional telephone manner
Strong written communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A proactive approach -- comfortable working independently or as part of a team
Well-organised with impeccable attention to detail
Previous experience in travel and tourism would be very beneficial though not essential, as full training will be provided. However, experience in an office environment would be preferable.
The vacancy is part-time, 24 hours per week ( most likely over 3 days ) but we could consider more flexible hours if the circumstances merit this. There may be an option/requirement to work a day over the weekend but this can be discussed further into the recruitment process. We would also envisage being able to offer additional shifts from time to time to cover holidays/sickness etc. The job is based at our head office in Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.
