Job Description

How you'll make a difference:

As an integral team member of our Resettling Communities Service, you will provide support and assistance with delivering services that improve the lives of refugees and asylum seekers in South Gloucestershire.



The service is responsible for the local delivery of national humanitarian resettlement programmes including the Homes for Ukraine Programme, UK Resettlement Scheme, Afghan Resettlement Programme, Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Programme and work with asylum seekers.


What you will be doing:
Daily, you will provide administrative support to the Resettling Communities Team. Using in house systems, you will accurately log and manage vital data relating to various resettlement schemes that the government and other council services and partners rely on. You will be first point of contact for the departments incoming calls and inbox, resolving queries from clients, residents, business partners, and voluntary and community sectors. Within service and partnership meetings, you will take minutes and maintain action logs. It will be key for you to monitor and ensure accurate records are kept for budgets, financial information and resources. Occasionally, you may be involved in organising integration and resettlement events.

What we need from you:
We require you to hold a minimum of 3 GCSE's (grade C or above) or equivalent qualification, including English and maths. You must have administration experience within a similar area of service delivery, such as social services, health or voluntary care sector. You need to be able to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.

What you need to know:
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week. This is a limited term contract, ending 31st March 2026. This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.

Interviews will be held week commencing 9th June 2025.
