Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to provide essential support to Children aged 11-17 in our Children's Home. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong communication skills. As a Resiedntial Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Duties

Assist Children with daily living activities, including behaviour managment, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Communicate effectively with Children, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care progress and any concerns. Drive Children to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with Children and families. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is necessary. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication is an advantage. A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care is crucial for success in this role.
