Unqualified: 13.25/hour (rising after 6-month probation) Qualified: 13.50/hour (rising after 6-month probation) Sleep-ins (optional): 60 per night

About the Role

We're partnering with a highly regarded children's residential care provider to recruit Day Support Workers for their homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). These roles involve long-day shifts with optional sleep-ins, offering consistency, therapeutic support, and meaningful daily engagement.

Responsibilities

Deliver child-centred, therapeutic care in a consistent and nurturing environment Build strong, trusting relationships with children and the team Facilitate routines, education, activities, and life skills support Maintain accurate and timely care documentation Promote safeguarding, dignity, and independence

Requirements

Experience with children or young people in care, education, or support settings (preferred) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it) Must commit to 36+ hours per week including long shifts and optional sleep-ins Driver preferred due to location Enhanced DBS required If needing sponsorship: 3 years UK work history required and 2-year minimum commitment

Shift Pattern

Day Shifts Only: 7am-10pm / 8am-11pm Optional Sleep-ins: 10pm-7am / 11pm-8am (60 per night) Rotas will vary and can be discussed based on availability and sustainability
