Residential Children's Home - No Experience Needed


Full Training and NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma Provided

Whether you're just starting your career or looking for a new direction, no prior experience is necessary. We'll support you every step of the way--including helping you achieve your NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Children's Care.

Your Role as a Residential Care Worker



As part of our caring team, you'll work approximately 20 hours per week, including around 5 sleep-in shifts per month.
Typical shifts run from 10am to 10am, though flexibility is required to meet the needs of the home.

You will:



Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children in your home Work closely with our Senior Support Workers and Deputy Manager Support children's personal development and well-being Help children build life skills, emotional strength, and social confidence Collaborate with professionals like therapists, teachers, and social workers to develop personalised care plans Use kind and calm de-escalation techniques in times of distress or crisis Maintain accurate records and documentation Advocate for each child's voice to be heard and their rights to be respected Engage positively with families and guardians to keep them informed and involved

Hours & Pay



Contract: Part-time, 20 hours per week (approx. 5 sleep-ins per month) Shift Pattern: 10am - 10am (24-hour shifts) or hours dependent on the needs of the home Hourly Rate: 12.34 (Unregistered) / 13.10 (Registered) Sleep-In Payment: 63 per sleep

Requirements:



Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma (provided after probation) Any experience working with children or in a care setting is a plus--but not essential
