Job Role: Residential Care Worker



Responsible to: Team Leader/Management Team



Location: Shipley/Bradford



Hours: 40 hours per week including days, lates, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Duties



To support the Registered Manager so that the physical and emotional needs of children and young people are protected, safeguarded and promoted at all times. Work towards all areas of the children and young people's care and education and risk management plans. Support the Registered Manager to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding. Ensure the home remains clean, tidy and safe both internally and externally at all times. To support and care for children and young people in all aspects of their emotional, physical, educational and independent development. Act as a positive role model and show children and young people how to live with integrity, optimism, hope, determination, and compassion. To develop an understanding of current legislation including the Children's Homes Regulations (England) 2015, Working together to safeguard children 2023, Local Authority procedures and follow the company policies and procedures. Work to a set rota that includes required sleep-in shifts to ensure consistent care and support for children in a residential setting.
Building and maintaining effective relationships, co-ordinating activities, creating meaningful opportunities and working with our social care, education and health care partners, are just a few ways we want our Residential Workers to support our children.
