The Role
As a
Children's Support Worker
, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will work as part of a caring, professional team to create a stable home environment that promotes healing and positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent, therapeutic support within a residential setting
Use trauma-informed approaches, including the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
Help children develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience
Support the delivery of personalised care and daily routines tailored to each child's needs
Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
Build positive, trusting relationships that promote stability and growth
What We're Looking For
Experience in residential childcare (minimum 1 year preferred)
Understanding of therapeutic or trauma-informed care (PACE experience desirable)
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Full UK Driving Licence - essential
Passion for improving the lives of children and young people
