Rise Above Care is recruiting Residential Childcare Practitioners for our new home in Doncaster. As we enter 2026, we're embracing exciting changes and expanding our team, offering a unique opportunity for you to make a real difference in children's lives.

Pay & Hours
Pay Rate: 12.50 per hour (12.75 if qualified)* Contract: Permanent, employed position* Hours: 155-165 hours per month on a rota basis* Sleep-ins: Required; paid at 50 per night*

Registered for three young people, catering to children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)* A child-centred, values-led environment where staff are empowered to make a real impact* Work closely with external professionals such as social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for our children*

Role & Responsibilities
As a Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will:
Provide safe, nurturing, and supportive care to children with EBD* Guide children towards independent living skills and positive personal development* Work closely with your team to deliver high-quality care in line with company policies and procedures* Collaborate with external professionals to create and implement individual care plans* Demonstrate empathy, resilience, and positive parenting skills, even in challenging situations*
Skills & Experience
We are looking for individuals who are:
Passionate about working with children and making a positive impact* Experienced (at least 12 months) in a relevant childcare or residential setting (preferred)* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred)* Knowledgeable about working with behavioural and emotional difficulties* Flexible, resilient, and able to work as part of a team* Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills* Hold a full, clean UK driving licence (preferred)*
