Job Description

Candidates applying for the role would be dealing with children with learning difficulties, emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, mental health problems and /or complex needs between the ages of 9 and 17. Candidates applying for this role would ideally have previous experience within the field and a QCF Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

You will be required to work in partnership with the local/placing authorities, parents or carers, and other agencies. The main focus of the job is to support the integration of young people back into their parental homes if appropriate.

Job purpose:

To provide day to day care of children and young people within an environment of pro-social learning that promotes positive attachments and relationships To support young people in maximising their potential in a safe and caring environment To achieve the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Essential requirements



At least 1-year recent experience in a relevant field.

Understanding and knowledge of the issues faced by this client group

Knowledge of Child in Need, Child Protection, and LAC care plans.

To complete the QCF Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years of employment.

: 25,350.00-26,364.00 negotiable dependent on experience
