Horizons Residential Care Limited is a residential childcare provider based in Berwick-upon-Tweed aiming to provide a therapeutic and nurturing residential home for children and young people.

Our ethos encompasses a holistic approach to the care we provide. This includes the provision of a physically safe and comfortable place to live and to safeguard and promote the welfare of each child and young person. In addition, supporting all children and young people in developing their identity and self-esteem whilst supporting and promoting both the social and life skills that will enable them to live safely and productively in the community.

Job Position : Residential Care Workers



We are looking for caring, committed, resilient, and empathic residential childcare workers to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential care setting. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of each child in your care, helping them to achieve their individual goals and live in a nurturing, supportive environment. As a keyworker, you will work as part of a team, and provide day-to-day care, support, and guidance, while maintaining positive relationships with the children, their families, and external professionals in line with their care plan.

Hourly Rate for Residential Care Workers is in the range of 12.50 to 15.50



Approximate Salary Range- 30,860 - 37,021 per annum (including sleepover allowance).



Experienced and Fully Qualified (HNC and SVQ 3) applicants will be on the following Pay Rate: A minimum 14 per hour.



The ideal candidate must have 2 or more year's experience working with and caring for vulnerable young people in a residential care setting, who have a range of support needs varying from traumatic life experience, family breakdown, to disability. The candidate must be ambitious attitude and willing to work towards meeting set targets and goals.

Candidates must also be fully qualified or working towards qualifications to work as a residential childcare worker. For drivers, a clean and current driving licence is required, alongside a willingness to transport the young people in our care using company vehicles.

Essential



Clean Driving Licence Relevant Experience in the Residential Child Care Sector Able to work unsocial hours, including Weekends.

Our shifts consist of



24 hour shifts with an 8 hour sleepover (for full-time) 12 hour shifts - for part time 6 hour shifts - for part time

Qualifications for Residential Child Care Workers:



HNC Health and social Care or equivalent. NVQ3 (Children and Young people) or equivalent.
