We provide

residential care

for young people aged ten to twenty-one years old and are seeking a Day Shift Care Worker for our three-bed care homes in Ayrshire.

We provide a homely, safe, and supportive environment, promoting responsibility, growth, learning, and positive outcomes for young people who come to stay with us.

As part of a team, you will provide day-to-day care, support and direction to young people with challenging emotional and behavioural needs. The role requires you to work with national childcare practice and use planned activities as a medium for healing. It also requires that...

You will be able to forge supportive relationships with young people and genuinely enjoy their company, and want the best for them. You are friendly, calm, compassionate, reliable and resilient, even in the face of challenges. You want to gain professional qualifications and knowledge to support your work?
Salary

Salary from 12.60 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.



Hours of work

Full time 8am to 8pm, (14 shifts in every 4 week rota).



Whilst previous experience would be desirable, excellent support skills, the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

Qualifications



Excellent communication skills Experience working with children or in a support environment Valid driver's license and experience of driving Familiarity with IT systems such as word
