We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full time & part time hours contract Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team.
We are eager to find candidates who wish to work on a flexible contract on either a full time or part time contract, weekend working or bank hours approach to cover any staffing shortages that may arise within the service.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This position requires a proactive approach to support, focusing on the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Sleep in duties are a requirement of this position given the nature of the role and are paid as an additional allowances to the salary advertised. Sleep ins are paid at approx. 60 each.
Duties
Provide personal care and support to children, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Assist with the development and execution of individual care plans.
Engage with children in educational and recreational activities to promote their social skills and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.
Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
Collaborate with team members to evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary adjustments.
Skills
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and families.
Experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
IT skills for maintaining records and documentation efficiently.
A valid driving licence is essential for transportation purposes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
