The Role

We are currently looking for

experienced Residential Childcare Worker

to join our dedicated team. This position is ideal for someone with a hands-on, practical approach who can offer both

structure and empathy

to children in care.

We are particularly encouraging candidates with a level of experience of working with young people

to apply, as we aim to provide a diverse team that can meet a broad range of needs and serve as positive role models for the children we support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and care to children and young people Promote a stable, safe, and nurturing home environment Serve as a

positive role model

, especially for boys in need of male mentorship Implement individual care plans and support behavioural development Foster meaningful relationships with the children, promoting trust and emotional security Support with household duties and contribute to a team-focused home environment Attend regular training and team meetings to ensure the highest care standards Ensure the safety and emotional well-being of each child at all times

What We're Looking For

Previous experience

in residential childcare or a similar role (essential)

NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People

or working towards (preferred) Calm under pressure with strong emotional resilience Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Practical, responsible, and hands-on approach to care Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of personal accountability Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
