to join our team at a Children's Residential Home in Swadlincote, DE11. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a key role in providing care, support, and guidance to children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment.
You'll be responsible for delivering day-to-day care and ensuring the emotional, physical, and social development of the children you support. This is a fulfilling, full-time role with an annual salary of
29,000 to 31,000
, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in the residential home.
Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, schoolwork, activities, and bedtime.
Support children with emotional and behavioural challenges, offering guidance and encouragement.
Ensure that safeguarding and welfare requirements are met at all times.
Create and maintain individual care plans and work collaboratively with other professionals.
Record and report on children's progress, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children or in a residential care setting is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and support children with a range of needs.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative.
A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and some bank holidays.
