We are seeking

compassionate, committed Childrens Practitioners

to join a small, nurturing children's home supporting young people aged

11-18

with emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a rewarding role for someone who believes in

trauma-informed care

, positive relationships, and helping young people feel safe, valued, and understood.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION - This is not a carer role, You will be expected to work therapeutically with young people.

Please do not apply unless:

1. You have the relevant experience of working with young people, Particularly neurodivergence and learning difficulties

2. You must hold a manual driving license

3. You must be on the DBS update Portal

About the Role

As a Childrens Practitioner, you will:

Provide day-to-day care and support to young people Build trusting, consistent relationships Support young people with routines, education, activities, and independence skills Promote positive behaviour using agreed support strategies Work collaboratively with professionals, families, and external agencies Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning Support young people to access the community safely and positively

Qualifications



Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting. Valid driving licence with the ability to drive company vehicles if required. Knowledge of child development principles and childcare best practices. Experience in creating and managing care plans tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Organised, proactive, and able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. This role is ideal for committed individuals passionate about supporting vulnerable children through compassionate leadership and professional expertise. Pay: From 32,448.00 per year
