We are seeking a capable, customer focused and proactive Residential Conveyancer to join our team in Chard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of residential property transactions, ensuring that all processes are conducted smoothly and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of property law, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Duties
Manage the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion and registration, ensuring all legal requirements are met including compliance procedures.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other professionals to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, leases, and mortgage agreements.
Conduct property searches and investigations to provide full reports on title and to ensure clients fully advised in a clear concise manner.
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the transaction process.
Provide expert advice to clients on property-related matters and resolve any issues that may arise during the transaction.
Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
Proficient IT skills for managing case management systems and conducting online searches.
Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organised with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with legal standards.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
