Job Description

With a strong reputation in the conveyancing sector, we are growing our team and are seeking applications from experienced fee earners to join our office on Belmont Business Park, Durham.

In addition to being Lexcel, CQS and WIQS accredited, we are contracted to provide publicly funded advice through the Legal Aid Agency and we also hold Children's Panel accreditation and are members of Resolution. We meet the highest standards of client care and expertise.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion. We have an experienced support team in place and we use a case management system to ensure smooth file progression and excellent client service. Training will be given to the successful candidate as part of our accreditation schemes as well as on our case management system.

All levels of qualification and experience will be considered - Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Paralegal.

Key Responsibilities:



Handling a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, transfers, new build purchases, buy to lets, freehold, leasehold, lease extensions, shared ownership, help to buy scheme and ISAs, remortgage and panel work. Ideally also with experience of company mortgages, equity release, title advice and rectification Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors, maintaining strong communication and building lasting client relationships Ensuring all files are managed effectively, in line with internal procedures and relevant regulatory requirements

Candidate Requirements:



Experience managing a conveyancing caseload independently (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Paralegal)

Excellent knowledge of the conveyancing process and relevant legislation

A proactive, professional and client-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organisational and time management skills
