About NPS Law

NPS Law is a dynamic and growing legal practice committed to delivering exceptional legal services to our clients across a broad spectrum of practice areas. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest professional standards while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development. Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal solutions with a focus on client satisfaction and innovative approaches to legal challenges.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancer to join our expanding residential property law team. This position is open to both qualified conveyancers with established experience and non-qualified candidates who demonstrate strong potential and enthusiasm for property law. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing residential property transactions from instruction to completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met while providing exceptional client service throughout the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities

The Conveyancer will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of property transactions, including residential sales and purchases, refinancing matters, and transfer of equity cases. You will conduct comprehensive property searches, review and prepare contracts for sale and purchase, liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to facilitate smooth transactions, and ensure all legal documentation is accurate and compliant with current legislation and regulations.

Your role will involve preparing and reviewing legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage documents, and completion statements, while maintaining detailed and accurate case files and ensuring all deadlines are met throughout the transaction process. You will provide regular updates to clients regarding the progress of their matters, explaining complex legal concepts in accessible terms and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.

Additionally, you will be expected to conduct due diligence investigations, identify and resolve potential issues that may arise during transactions, coordinate completion dates and arrange for the exchange of contracts, and ensure all post-completion requirements are fulfilled including registration of transfers and discharge of mortgages.

Essential Requirements

For qualified candidates, we require a recognized conveyancing qualification or equivalent legal qualification with substantial conveyancing experience, along with proven experience in residential property transactions and comprehensive knowledge of property law, Land Registry procedures, and relevant legislation. You should demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

For non-qualified candidates, we seek individuals with a strong educational or working background in residential conveyancing, genuine interest in property law and conveyancing, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong computer literacy including proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience in a legal environment, customer service, or property-related field would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.

All candidates must possess the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics, and show commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

What We Offer

NPS Law provides a competitive salary and bonus package commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a pension scheme and attractive bonus scheme, and generous annual leave entitlement. We offer excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement within our growing practice, including support for further qualifications and training programs.

Our modern office environment features the latest technology and case management systems to support efficient working practices. We maintain a collaborative team culture that values work-life balance and provides mentorship opportunities for career growth.
