About the Opportunity

Join our dynamic conveyancing team at our Solihull head office as a Residential Conveyancer. We're looking for an experienced professional--whether you're a qualified solicitor or a skilled non-qualified conveyancer--who can hit the ground running and deliver exceptional client service across a diverse caseload of residential property matters.

In this role, you'll take full ownership of your files from initial instruction through to completion, working within a supportive team environment that values professionalism, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

Caseload Management



Manage a varied portfolio of residential conveyancing transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build properties Guide matters through every stage from instruction to post-completion, ensuring all deadlines are consistently met

Legal and Administrative Duties



Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence, reviewing contracts, title documents, and search results Prepare and review essential legal documentation including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements Conduct Land Registry searches and submit applications accurately Maintain meticulous case management records

Client Service and Communication



Provide clear, timely, and professional advice to clients throughout their transaction Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to keep matters moving smoothly Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service Proactively identify and resolve potential complications before they become problems

Compliance and Professional Standards



Ensure full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Solicitors Regulation Authority standards Adhere to all regulatory requirements and maintain the highest professional standards Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the conveyancing department
Essential Qualifications and Skills

Experience and Knowledge



Minimum 2 years' experience in residential conveyancing Comprehensive understanding of the residential conveyancing process from start to finish Strong knowledge of Land Registry procedures and requirements Current understanding of conveyancing legislation and regulations Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering requirements and compliance procedures

Technical Skills



Proficiency in case management software Strong command of Microsoft Office applications Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Professional Competencies



Outstanding organisational and time management abilities Proven capability to manage a busy caseload and meet competing deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX qualification (strong non-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply) Experience handling leasehold properties and lease extensions Knowledge of Help to Buy and shared ownership schemes Experience with new build developments
