Job Title: Residential Conveyancing Locum
Location: Devon (Hybrid Working Available)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Ongoing whilst the firm recruits permanently
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (DOE)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Locum to support a well-established law firm based in Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and self-sufficient conveyancer to join a supportive and friendly team, handling a full residential property caseload. The firm offers a degree of hybrid working and is looking for someone who can start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a standard residential conveyancing caseload including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
• Manage files from instruction to completion with minimal supervision
• Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
• Maintain high levels of client service and professional standards

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Fee Earner with strong residential property experience
• Proven ability to manage a full conveyancing caseload independently
• Available to start immediately
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Comfortable using case management systems
• Ability to work both on-site and remotely as required
