We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Residential

Placement Manager

to be primarily based at one of our supported living homes. This pivotal role will see you take responsibility for ensuring our children's home functions in a supportive and successful manner, meeting our Statement of Purpose with a particular emphasis on providing a safe, person-centred, therapeutic service. You will achieve this by delivering and improving all operational aspects of the home and developing a skilled and effective team.

As our Placement Manager, your key objectives will include:



Providing a safe and healthy environment for our young people. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of our young people. Ensuring the placement meets all OFSTED regulations and complies with company policy and procedures. Ensuring relevant and correct data is recorded and disseminated effectively. Managing financial planning and budgeting for the home. Facilitating learning, engagement, and development through AQAs and various activities. Managing ad-hoc duties as required. Leading, managing, and developing a skilled and effective team (Direct reports: Unit Lead, Engagement Key Workers). Taking a proactive approach to managing challenging situations. Attending professional meetings (e.g., Placement Meetings, LAC Reviews, Staff Supervision).

Your responsibilities will encompass:



Ensuring full compliance with company policies, procedures, and all OFSTED regulations. Accurately recording and communicating all necessary information regarding the young people to ensure their specific needs are met. Being instrumental in overseeing the development, monitoring, and implementation of individual care plans, risk assessments, and case files. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with parents, social workers, schools, and other involved professionals. Effectively planning, managing, and leading shifts to ensure the safety and engagement of our young people. Supervising and ensuring all staff act professionally and adhere to YPR's policies and procedures. Managing staff rotas and proactively addressing short-notice changes. Conducting supervisions and Personal Development Plan meetings with your team. Being aware of and adhering to Health and Safety regulations. Undertaking on-call duties as required. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people at all times.

What we're looking for:



Essential Qualification:

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification:

Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or a Degree in Social Work. Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's residential care. Proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills, team management, and rota coordination. Experience in managing budgets and effective budget utilisation. Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections is highly desirable. Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. A strong team player with a proactive approach. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to maintain accurate records with excellent attention to detail. Strong diary and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills.
