We are looking to recruit an experienced lawyer to join our growing Residential Property Team. This role is a full-time position and consideration will be given to qualified individuals or career paralegals with at least 4 years of experience running their own varied caseload of all types of residential property transactions.


Key aspects of the role include:

Advice and guidance to clients (by email, telephone or in face to face meetings) on all aspects of the process Working within SRA guidelines and Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme Core Practice Management Standards Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, Land Registry and third party solicitors Drafting and amending all documentation supporting the conveyancing transaction, including advice notes, letters and other post completion and registration documents Adhering to any agreed client service standards Contributing to business development initiatives

Requirements




The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of complex and varied work types, an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Detailed knowledge of the CQS protocol, good communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to participate in building relationships with referrers of business are essential to the role, as is managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs. Attention to detail, a good work ethic, a willingness to cover a variety of tasks and, whilst we operate a strong 'work / life balance' ethos, the willingness to work outside core hours may be necessary on occasion to support the needs of the department.
