Due to the recognition of the huge opportunities for growth an opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading law firms in Cornwall and Devon as a Lawyer in the Residential Property Department.


To provide and build on the existing conveyancing team in the East of the county in order to meet the needs of the ever-growing client base in this region. The role of the Conveyancing Lawyer is to ensure that the house buying and selling process is conducted smoothly and consistently for our clients.


We are looking for self-motivated Conveyancing Lawyers who will take pride in delivering excellent customer service every time.


In this newly created role you will work in our Residential Property Department and become a key member of our busy established team taking the client on their journey from the initial instruction stage to Post-Completion.


What you will do:




Manage a varied caseload from start to post completion including; Freehold and Leasehold sales & purchase, registered and unregistered land, equity release, buy-to-let, right to buy, lease extensions, newbuild, affordable/shared ownership housing and auctions.


Hold and develop new relationships with introducers Manage more complex cases such as creation of new easements, adverse possession, relinquishing easements or covenants, etc. Liaise with vendors, purchasers, solicitors, financial advisors and estate agents

Experience and Qualifications you need:



At least 5 years' conveyancing experience in managing a varied case load Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer

In addition to our offices, the firm aims to enable as many staff as possible to incorporate an element of remote work into their working week if they so wish with a minimum of 3 days' office-based working.


Hours



This is a full time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
