The role



To support the head of department with all legal aspects of buying, selling, or remortgaging a home, ensuring a smooth, legally sound transfer of property ownership by managing contracts, searches, finances (like Stamp Duty), and liaising with solicitors/conveyancers, agents, lenders, Land Registry, or any other parties that may be involved in such transactions.

Responsibilities



Acting for buyers and sellers on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases Reviewing, drafting and amending contracts, deeds, reports and client letters Title review, raising/answering enquiries, submitting searches and handling HMLR formalities Managing exchange, completion and post-completion Advising on remortgages, mortgage redemption, transfers of equity and secured lending Handling residential licences and advising on new-build transactions Contributing to BD/marketing and client relationship growth

The ideal candidate



A UK qualified Solicitor registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail A client-focused, commercial approach The ability to manage files independently while contributing to a collaborative team Clearly communicates complex legal matters in everyday terms Confident in the use of IT systems, particularly Word and Excel Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities The ability to work from our office in Ipswich full time
