Our client a specialist Real Estate and Commercial Practice seek to hire a Property Solicitor to help them with their current client base across the South.


Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits + flexible/hybrid working arrangements

Key Responsibilities within Residential Property Law

Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build properties, transfers of equity, shared ownership, and remortgages and also some commercial property work also. Draft, review, and negotiate all relevant property documentation, ensuring compliance with SRA, CQS, and anti-money laundering requirements. Conduct thorough title checks, property searches, review survey results, and resolve any issues that arise during transactions. Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the conveyancing process, delivering clear, timely, and practical advice to individuals, families, investors, and developers. Build and maintain positive relationships with estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, and all stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of transactions. Accurately maintain records using the firm's case management systems, keeping all parties updated and meeting critical deadlines. Adhere to regulatory and legal standards at all times, taking personal responsibility for risk management and compliance. Contribute to the knowledge sharing and development of colleagues, supporting team members where required.

Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes for a Residential Property Solicitor



Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or CILEX Practitioner Proven capability handling a broad residential caseload from instruction through to post-completion independently. Up-to-date understanding of residential conveyancing law and process, including leasehold and freehold, lender requirements, and new build transactions. Experienced in drafting and negotiating contracts and transfer deeds with meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional client service skills with the ability to build rapport, manage expectations, and offer clear advice to all clients and stakeholders. Ability to work as part of a collaborative, inclusive team or independently, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to support others. IT literate with a strong grasp of case management systems and standard Microsoft Office applications. Committed to your ongoing professional learning and legal knowledge development.
