Godfrey Care are looking for a Residential Registered Manager with experience of Complex Care to oversee the delivering and sustaining a specific Residential service for adults with specialist complex needs, including learning disabilities, mental health issues, forensic histories, self-harm and suicidal ideation transitions ages 16 and above, and hospital discharge.
The Residential Registered Manager will work closely with the Regional Manager to provide support and assistance to other services when required,
The main responsibilities of the Residential Registered Manager will be:
Responsibility for the operational performance of the service and accountable for its 24- hour management.
To hold and maintain the CQC registration for the service, ensuring that you remain up to date with all relevant changes, ensure timely notifications and follow the expected procedures.
To work with your staff team to ensure your service is of good quality, achieves high occupancy, is effectively managed and adheres to all local authority, health and CQC standards.
Be familiar with the rota and staffing requirements of your service by regular completion and monitoring of actual wage matrices and have a good understanding of service user needs, allocation of appropriate skill mix and funding requirements, as set out within the service's individual budgets; take swift remedial action when this is found not to be the case.
Conduct and chair disciplinary hearings in accordance to employment law legislation.
Ensure robust monitoring and sharing of complaints, grievances and whistleblowing's, investigations and responses.
Ensure that staff members are recruited in a timely manner in the case of leavers, new services and/or maternity cover and sickness, in line with a robust induction and ongoing development programme
Be responsible and accountable to the Regional Manager for the overall performance of your service - with regard to quality, compliance, fee income and financial performance
Ideal candidate for the role of Residential Registered Manager should have:
Proven experience in Complex Care / Challenging Behaviours settings is essential
Strong background in Complex Care / Challenging Behaviours car practices
Understanding of CQC policies and procedures
Excellent management skills with a focus on leadership and development of staff
Exceptional organisational and communication skills
