The Role
We are looking for dedicated and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our passionate team within our 3-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home. You will play a vital part in supporting young people aged 8-18 to develop life skills, emotional stability, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to young people in line with their individual care plans.
Act as a positive role model, promoting structure, stability, and consistency in the home.
Support with daily routines including education, appointments, household tasks, and recreational activities.
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people based on respect, empathy, and boundaries.
Record all interactions and incidents accurately, maintaining up-to-date documentation.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for the young people.
Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are always upheld.
Drive company vehicles for school runs, appointments, and activities.
Requirements
Must be a driver with a full UK driving licence.
Must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People) or equivalent (or be actively working towards it).
Experience working in a residential childcare or similar setting is essential.
Compassionate, reliable, and able to remain calm under pressure.
Flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
