What You'll Be Doing
Provide personalised, caring support for young people facing emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them feel valued and secure.
Work with the care team to deliver care plans tailored to each child's emotional, psychological, and educational needs.
Engage young people in therapeutic and life skills-based activities to promote resilience, empowerment and wellbeing.
Maintain a safe, warm, clean, and structured environment where routines help children feel stable.
Support young people with daily routines, self-care, social and educational participation.
Keep accurate records, support risk assessments, behaviour plans, and report safeguarding concerns.
Participate in shift duties including sleep-ins; mentor junior staff and contribute positively to team culture.
Collaborate with external professionals, families, and community services to ensure whole-child support.
What We're Looking For
Experience in residential care with children or young people with emotional or behavioural needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People / Residential Childcare (essential)
Understanding of safeguarding, therapeutic care, education support.
Empathy, patience, strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Full UK Driving Licence essential.
