Solo Provision Support Worker - Children's Residential Care

Pay:

13.00 - 13.50 per hour

Shifts:

7:30 AM - 9:30 PM (No sleep-ins required)

Cornerstone Children's Homes is seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to provide one-to-one care for a young person in a solo residential home in Reading. This is a unique opportunity to offer focused, trauma-informed care during a critical period of a young person's development.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver consistent, trauma-informed therapeutic care tailored to individual needs Support the young person with emotional regulation, mental health challenges, and behaviours of concern Apply de-escalation techniques and physical intervention strategies when needed (training provided) Maintain safe routines and create a secure, emotionally supportive environment Assist with daily tasks, including personal care and the development of independent life skills Engage in key working sessions and actively contribute to care planning Collaborate closely with a skilled, supportive, and professional team

What We're Looking For



Experience in residential childcare, mental health support, or therapeutic settings Confidence in managing complex behaviours and utilising trained intervention strategies High levels of emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure A proactive, dependable approach and excellent teamwork skills A strong commitment to supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma or adversity
