Consistent Quality Support is a dynamic and innovative Children's, Young People and Young Adults Support Service. Our focus is always on the children, closely followed by our team of staff.
Our registered homes offer care and support for vulnerable children, young people and young adults with social, emotional, mental health and complex needs, with each of our young people receiving a minimum of 2-1 staffing support.
Due to continued growth we are recruiting for Residential Support Workers - Children's, Young People & Young Adults- Waking Nights - We are also open to bank staff.
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire - 2 x Residential Homes
Hours: 12 Hour Shifts (overtime available)
Contract: Part Time, Full Time Permanent
Preferred: Full Driving Licence
Essential: Right to Work in the UK, with minimum 2 years proven experiance of work in the UK
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To ensure that our child/young person is valued, able to explore personal development and have the opportunity to communicate their needs, choices and aspirations.
Building strong relationships with our child/young person to help them feel safe and cared for.
Encouraging the young person's independence & helping them to develop their life skills, promoting and empowering them with their choices, inclusion and decision making for them to reach their personal goals.
Organising and accompanying our child/young person on social activities and appointments this will involve sports, swimming, walking, independent living and a range of activities that will consist of physical participation
Recording the young person's activity & reporting key aspects of their care
To promote and respect the privacy and dignity of the child/young person at all times as well promoting equality and diversity, equal opportunities and respect cultures and values.
To maintain the confidentiality and respect the views of the child/young person.
To project a positive image of people with learning difficulties, challenging behaviours or other disabilities.
To attend staff team planning meetings monthly and provide an adequate handover at end/beginning of shift, as well as attending and participating in staff training.
Complete risk assessments, daily logs, accident & incident reports, medication forms, audits, daily weekly checklist and to a detailed high standard.
