The Role
As a
Team Leader
, you will support the Registered Manager in providing consistent, nurturing, and high-quality care for a young person in a
solo EBD placement
.
You will:
? Lead shifts confidently and safely
? Provide guidance, supervision, and support to RCWs
? Oversee daily routines, boundaries, and behaviour support
? Manage safeguarding, incident responses, and escalation
? Complete care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans
? Support the home to meet
Ofsted Quality Standards
? Build strong, trusting relationships with the young person
? Ensure consistency in approach, structure, and expectations
? Communicate professionally with social workers, schools & partner agencies
This is a key leadership role vital to setting the tone, culture, and standards of the home.
What We're Looking For

who can lead from the front.
Essential
? Minimum
2 years' residential childcare experience
? Experience supporting children with
EBD, trauma, aggression, and high-risk behaviours
? Strong safeguarding knowledge
? Experience
leading shifts
and supporting staff practice
? Excellent communication skills and documentation skills
? Competent in incident reporting, care planning, and risk assessment
? Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure
? Able to model therapeutic, nurturing, and structured care
? Level 3 Children & Young People OR equivalent
? Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
Previous Team Leader or Senior RCW experience
PMVA / Team Teach / NAPPI / CPI
Experience in a
solo or high-risk placement
Experience supporting children with attachment needs and trauma

Newly qualified staff
