Residential Care Team Leader at Specialist Care Team

We provide rock-solid training so you can support people who have complex needs, such as Autism, Learning Disabilities or Mental Health.
Shifts can be anywhere between 7am-11pm. Set shifts are available. We also offer a protected day/time off to better allow you to plan your life. This role includes alternate weekends.
As part of our highly-trained team you'll work with people to enable them to live happy lives, while promoting their independence. You will also learn specialist skills to ensure we have a safe environment for our clients, which includes breakaway training and ligature rescue.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job:
As a Team Leader, you will:
Ensure that our service users are at the heart of care delivery, and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
Develop effective working relationships with other team members and cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees
Supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
Assist individual staff to develop in their role and the level of compliance with agreed standards
Take the lead responsibility for day-to-day management of support services, in accordance with policies, procedures and management techniques agreed with the Management Team
Take part in pre-assessments of new service users
This role does require a significant amount of cooking and cleaning as well as some personal care.
Requirements:
To be considered for the role, you should have:
Good English - written and verbal
Ideally, a vocational qualification level 3 Health and Social Care and a supervisory or management qualification
You should also possess:
Proficient Written Skills
Leadership Skills
Communication Skills
Problem-solving Skills
Previous experience of working in a similar environment
