Summary



Residual Value management is critical in supporting the Electric Vehicle (EV) transition, which is a key pillar in LBG's purpose of Helping Britain Prosper by Keeping Britain Mobile.


Reporting into the Senior Manager Residual Value (RV) Development you'll own and manage the researching of existing and emerging trends and relationships impacting upon used vehicle market values, incorporating them into the RV forecasting modelling processes.


We thrive on supporting our customers and relationship management is key to ensure cross business balancing. You'll develop a broad network, collaborating across the Transport business and its support functions, Vehicle Manufacturers and other external market insight providers as you input into other strategic topics.

Are you passionate about the automotive industry and excited by the pace of change in the transport sector? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the RV & Pricing Management team within the Transport division of Lloyds Banking Group (LBG).


Residual Value (RV) management plays a vital role in supporting the UK's transition to Electric Vehicles (EVs), a key pillar of LBG's purpose: Helping Britain Prosper by Keeping Britain Mobile .


As RV Research Manager, reporting to the Senior Manager, RV Development, you'll lead the research into existing and emerging trends that influence used vehicle market values. Your insights will directly inform our RV forecasting models and strategic decision-making.


Key Accountabilities:

Deliver thought leadership on future market trends, including vehicle technology, legislation, and consumer behaviour. Analyse macroeconomic and industry factors affecting RVs, such as supply volumes, OEM strategies, and demand shifts. Produce segmentation analysis to support RV forecasting (e.g. fuel types, age categories, vehicle segments). Collaborate with internal teams (RV Forecasting, Group Finance, Risk) to evolve RV risk segmentation and strategy. Create and present stakeholder briefings that demonstrate innovative thinking and commercial application of RV insights. Build strong relationships across the Transport business, OEMs, and external market insight providers.

What you'll need

Expertise in Residual Value forecasting

is essential. Strong understanding of

financial and econometric modelling

techniques; familiarity with

CAP data structures

is a plus. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and dynamic market conditions. Strategic mindset with the ability to interpret and apply market, competitor, and business insights. Proven ability to build influential relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Experience in preparing and presenting papers to senior stakeholders.
