The role will sit within the County Councils' Crisis Management, Humanitarian Response and Resilience Team who provide the secretariat and support for the Local Resilience Forum (LRF).
The primary function of the wider Resilience Team is to ensure that Hertfordshire County Council is resilient and able to continue to deliver critical services during a disruption, emergency situation or major incident.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Crisis Management, Humanitarian Response and Resilience, this exciting new role will be responsible for the secretariate function of the Local Resilience Forum (LRF) as well as day to day management of the LRF.
Working with stakeholders at all levels you will be responsible for delivery against our new Hertfordshire LRF strategy and coordination of activity across partners.
The role will support development of local plans to ensure that LRF partners are prepared to respond to major incidents and emergencies in the county.
About you
Essential
Relevant professional qualifications (a graduate or equivalent) with a proven track record of resilience management within a political and / or partnership context.
Good understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act and Local Resilience Forums and experience of working at a local, regional and national level.
Experience of working with, supporting and influencing strategic leaders to make critical decisions in an incident or emergency.
Experience of building, strong and effective relationships with partners in an incident response / resilience setting.
Able to communicate confidently, effectively, clearly and concisely to partners at all levels both orally and in writing.
Desirable
Recent experience of working within Hertfordshire's Local Resilience Forum and / or knowledge of local response structures.
